The annual competition for Quranic recitation and Arabic speech was held under the banner of the College of Shariah and Islamic Sciences (Bazm Minhaj). Numerous students from the various universities and colleges participated in the event. Principal of the College of Shariah and Islamic Sciences, Dr. Mumtaz-ul-Hassan Barvi, faculty members, important academic, political, social, and religious figures, along with students, attended in large numbers.
In the Arabic speech competition, Hafiz Naveed Naqibi from Minhaj-ul-Quran University secured the first position, Muhammad Asad Khan from Al-Karam International Bahira Sharif secured the second position, and Imaan Islam from Minhaj College for Women secured the third position.
Prince Pir Mastwaiz-ul-Rehman Shah (Astana Aliya Sher-e-Rabbani), Qari Muhammad Rafique Naqshbandi, Dr. Hafiz Khurshid Ahmed Qadri, Mufti Abdul Qayyum Hazarvi, Dr. Hassan Shakeel Shah Al-Azhari, Allama Ain-ul-Haq Baghdadi, Qari Muhammad Awais, Qari Babar Qadri, and others participated in the ceremony held in connection with the 73rd birthday celebration of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.
Addressing the participants, Dr. Mumtaz-ul-Hassan Barvi emphasized the importance of structured activities, stating that co-curricular activities enhance students' abilities and personalities.
In the first phase of the program, a Quran recitation competition was held, in which students presented Quranic verses in a distinct manner, enriching the gathering's atmosphere. In the second phase, an Arabic speech competition was held, in which students demonstrated their best abilities and were awarded prizes.
Participants and guests at the event presented awards to the position holders. Bazm Minhaj coordinator Sabir Hussain Naqshbandi and other officials welcomed the guests and participants to the event.
The organizers praised the academic, research, peace-building, and practical efforts of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. They appreciated the functioning of Bazm Minhaj and extended congratulations on the successful conduct of the splendid event. Faizullah Baghdadi, Maqsood Ahmed Nushahi, Dr. Murad Danish, Dr. Shafqat Baghdadi, and others were also present in the event.
