Description:
Shaykh-ul-Islam launches new academic year of religious seminaries with a lecture on Sahih al-Bukhari Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri inaugurated the new academic year of religious schools with a lecture on Sahih al-Bukhari, while stating that the first weapon of those spreading irreligiosity is to cast doubts on the authenticity of Hadith. He emphasized that the greatest blessing bestowed by Allah is knowledge, and the dignity of knowledge surpasses any other virtue. He said that the Quran is a revelation made clear, while Hadith is a revelation made hidden. He said that understanding the comprehensive meaning of Allah's words requires knowledge of Hadith and an essential love for it. Scholars and students of knowledge must recognize the status and indispensability of Hadith for the preservation of the religion, he opined. Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that Allah, the Lord of Honor, has also emphasized the protection of Hadith along with the Quran. Therefore, the sayings of the Prophet (PBUH) have reached us through a continuous chain of transmission. He said that students of Islamic studies should work hard on the science of Hadith, as it will open new doors of knowledge and skill for them. Nizam-ul-Madaris Pakistan arranged the scholarly talk on Hadith via zoom, which was attended by more than 20,000 esteemed scholars, mosque imams, teachers, and senior students across the country. Shaykh-ul-Islam congratulated the President of Nizam-ul-Madaris Pakistan, Allama Mufti Imdadullah Qadri, Secretary General Dr. Muhammad Mir Asif Akbar, the Chief Examiner Allama Ain-ul-Haq Baghdadi, and their entire team on this significant service to the Hadith and acknowledged their valuable contribution. Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri said that Imam Bukhari (RA) has elevated the knowledge of Hadith to the highest level. He has served the Muslim Ummah immensely and demolished the false ideas of those who objected to the authenticity of Hadith. He emphasized that the position of Sahih al-Bukhari in the books of Hadith is the highest due to its scholarly and technical accuracy, and it refutes the secondary interpretations of the deniers of Hadith. Allah, the Lord of Honor, has established His Prophet (PBUH) as His vice-regent for giving commands, forbidding certain things, and explaining matters. He said that the first sign of true faith is to accept the Prophet's (PBUH) commands as true and authentic. “The protection and dissemination of Prophetic traditions are essential for faith. No person can prosper in knowledge or life who is disconnected from the science of Hadith,” he said.
