PAT sets up 13-member social media working council

Pakistan Awami Tehreek has established a 13-member social media council consisting of local and foreign office bearers. A notification of the council was issued by PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur.

According to the notification, Noorullah Siddiqui and Chaudhry Farrukh Shahzad will be the group head, whereas Ateequr Rehman has been appointed as the convener. The other position holders of the social media working council include Hassan Zaman, Malik Amjad Chand as deputy conveners, Umar Qureshi as youth head, Wajid Qureshi as coordinator youth, Umar Farooq as deputy convener youth, Shakira Chaudhry as head MWL, Safia Riffat as coordinator MWL, Khushboo Zahara as deputy coordinator, Faraz Hashmi as head MSM, Mohsin Haleem as coordinator MSM, and Muhammad Talha as deputy coordinator MSM.

Congratulating the newly appointed social media team members, Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, and Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that the social media cell of the PAT and MQI is Pakistan’s largest setup consisting of thousands of volunteers and activists who will play their role to spread the message of peace, harmony, love, and Pakistan’s stability.

PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, while congratulating the newly appointed members of the social media team, urged them to give a befitting reply to those who spew venom against Pakistan, Islam and the national security institutions. He said that they should spread positivity and peace through their messages and posts on the social media by adhering to the central message of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri. He said that the council consists of patriotic and competent youth leaders who are driven to make their positive contribution by ridding the country of the scourge of radicalism and negativity in the society.

PAT Secretary General said that the future of the country is closely linked with these youths. He asked the social media activists to further hone their skills and get exposure to the world of technology to effectively respond to the challenges in the fluid world of online media. He expressed the hope that these youths will come up to the trust of the leadership and fully leverage their skills in the larger interest of the country.
