Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, the founding leader of MQI, has strongly condemned the terrorist blasts on Churches and hotels in Sri Lanka in which over 200 people were killed. He said that the terrorists, who are enemies of humanity, targeted innocent citizens. He said that the brave and patriotic people of Sri Lanka have fought a long drawn out battle against terrorism and rendered many sacrifices. He said that these incidents of terrorism cannot weaken the resolve of the Sri Lankan nation.
In his condolence message, Dr Qadri said that Sunday, the 21st of April, would be remembered as the darkest day in the national life of Sri Lanka. He said that no words are sufficient to condemn the barbarity perpetrated on the innocent people. He said that those who shed blood are the worst people on the face of the earth. He expressed his solidarity and support for the people and the government of Sri Lanka at this hour of immense grief.
He said that both the people of Pakistan and Sri Lanka have fought against terrorism and chronicled the chapters of history with their bravery. He said that both the nations support peace.
