The annual edition of ‘Sayyida-e-Kainat Conference’ was held under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League here today at Al-Hamrah Hall in Lahore. Conducted on the subject of ‘women’s greatness lies in following the life of Sayyida-e-Kainat (S.A)’, the women speakers threw light on different aspects of her blessed life and described it as a beacon of light for the women around the world. Mrs. Fizza Hussain Qadri presided over the Conference.
Addressing the Conference, provincial minister for women development Ms. Ashifa Riaz Fatyana said that the mothers will have to take a leaf from the life of Sayyida-e-Kainat (S.A) to train their children and impart them moral and spiritual values. She said that Hazrat Fatima (S.A) brought up her sons, Hazrat Imam Hassan (A.S) and Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S), in such a splendid manner that they saved humanity by offering supreme sacrifice. She said that we need mothers and daughters who are motivated and driven by the life of Sayyida Fatima al-Zahra’ (S.A.) and are willing to implement her ‘uswa’ in their lives at individual and collective lives. She congratulated MWL on arranging Conference to celebrate the life of ‘Sayyida-e-Kainat (S.A)’.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Fizza Hussain Qadri said that the Muslim women will have to mould their character in line with the life of Sayyida Fatima al-Zahra’ (S.A.) and it is only this way that our collective decline can be replaced by rise. She said that the conduct of such conferences is essential to make our succeeding generations aware of the character of such revered personalities as Sayyida-e-Kainat (S.A). She said that MQI deserves to be appreciated for this initiative. She said that the Holy Prophet (SAW) would keep his daughter in his blessed company, stating that we will have to implement this principle in our lives as well. She said that we should strive consciously to convey the teachings of Hazrat Fatima (S.A) to the succeeding generations, stating that it is the collective responsibility of the Islamic community. She said that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) had immense love for Sayyida-e-Kainat (S.A). She said that if women make her their role model, they can be successful. She was an embodiment of wisdom and excellence of character and at the pedestal of piety and generosity.
Principal Quran Academy Ms. Huma Taqvi said that it will not be possible to make our future bright without making Sayyida-e-Kainat (S.A) our role model. She was the beloved daughter of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and he (PBUH) brought her up and trained her himself. She said that the salvation of today’s women lies in acting upon the teachings of Hazrat Fatima-tuz-Zahra (S.A).
Religious scholar Sabahat Ramzan Sialvi said in her speech that the personality in whose memory the Conference has been arranged is related to the Holy Prophet (SAW) and those attending such gatherings go back blessed. She said that Sayyida-e-Kainat (S.A) was an exalted personality in every manner.
In her thank-you note, MWL President Mrs. Farah Naz said that the purpose of arranging this Conference is to highlight the exemplary character and ‘sira’ of Hazrat Fatima-tuz-Zahra (S.A) as a daughter, wife, mother and sister so that today’s Muslim women could make her life their ideal. She said that the conspiracies against Islam can be fought successfully by learning from the blessed life and character of Sayyida-e-Kainat (S.A).
Sidra Karamat, Ayesha Shabbir, Farida Sajjad, Shahida Mughal, Attiya Baneen, Nabeela Zaheer and Amina Batool also addressed the Conference. The event came to a conclusion with Dua for peace and national progress.
