Leading religious and political leaders and social activists have sent their congratulations and messages of greetings to Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri on his 69th birthday. They prayed for his health and long life. Those who sent their birthday greetings included Prime Minister Imran Khan, PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, Chaudhry Pervez Elahi, CM Sindh Muraad Ali Shah, CM KP Mahmood Khan, federal ministers Fawad Chaudhry, Ghulam Sarwar Khan, Dr Noor-ul-Haq Qadri, provincial ministers Dr Murad Raas, Raja Yasir Hamayon, Mian Aslam Iqbal, Chaudhry Zaheer-ud-Din Khan, Sahibzda Syed Saeed-ul-Hassan Shah, Hashim Jawan Bakht, Mian Mahmood-ur-Rasheed, Dr Yaseemn Rashid, Sardar Mohsin Laghari, Ashifa Riaz Fatyana, head of MWM Raja Nasir Abbas, KP provincial ministers Shaukat Ali Yousafzai, Ajmal Wazir, PML-Q leader Senator Kamil Ali Agha, Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo, Mian Imran Masood, Barrister Amir Hassan, Jamshed Cheema, Ijaz Chaudhry and Tanzila Imran.
Meanwhile, conferences were held throughout the country including in Lahore, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Multan, Islamabad, Karachi, Peshawar, Karachi, Bahawalnagar, Okara, Sahiwal, Gujranwala, to pay tributes to Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri for his services and contributions to the multiple fields.
Birthday cakes were cut in different countries of the world including Norway, Denmark, Australia, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Holland, UK, and the USA. The people lauded the role and mission of Dr Qadri in these ceremonies. The central birthday ceremony was held at the MQI secretariat which was attended by provincial minister Syed Saeed-ul-Hassan Shah, Brig. (r ) Iqbal Ahmad Khan, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Syed Altaf Hussain Shah, GM Malik, Rafique Najam, Noorullah Siddiqui, Jawad Hamid, Mazhar Mahmood Alvi, Irfan Yousaf, Shahzad Rasool, Hafiz Ghulam Farid, Saeed Akhtar, Tayyab Zia, Qari Riasat and workers.
