The Women Development Department, Government of Punjab, arranged a conference to celebrate International Women's Day on March 8 at a local hotel. The event was attended by various organizations. Ms. Ayesha Mubashir (Vice General Secretary MWL Pakistan) and Ms. Rafia Urooj represented Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League at the conference.
In their presentations, Ms. Ayesha Mubashir and Ms. Rafia Urooj threw light on various projects being run under the banner of WOICE for women empowerment. They briefed the participants about the nature of the services rendered by MWL for the education and moral and spiritual training of women.
The participants acknowledged the efforts of MWL for women's development. They highlighted the need for collaboration and synergy to learn from each other's experiences for better outcomes. They said that the Women Development Department can play the coordinating role and lead the effort.
