A book launch ceremony of five comprehensive new works by the founder and patron-in-chief of Minhaj-ul-Quran, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, on the themes of Qur’anic exegesis and the life of the Prophet ﷺ, was held at Aiwan-e-Iqbal, Lahore, under the auspices of Nizam-ul-Madaris Pakistan.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri said: “I do not take any royalty from my books. Every single penny is dedicated to the service of religion. My prayer is that whatever I write may spread the light of Islam to every village and town, and that this humble effort becomes a provision for my Hereafter.”
Speaking at the ceremony, the head of Urwat-ul-Wuthqa, Allama Jawad Naqvi, said: “Fourteen years ago, Shaykh-ul-Islam issued a fatwa against terrorism and the fitna of the Khawarij, and today that has become the narrative of the state of Pakistan. His works are paving the way for inter-sectarian harmony.”
Senior journalist, intellectual, and columnist Syed Irshad Arif said in his address: “Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri has endeavored to present the true image of Islam and the Seerah of the Prophet ﷺ. Minhaj-ul-Quran has kept alive the culture of books and research. Around the world, Dr. Qadri is promoting Islam’s peace narrative, and his religious services are commendable in every respect.”
Syed Ziaullah Shah Bukhari, central leader of Muttahida Jamiat Ahl-e-Hadith, said: “The way Shaykh-ul-Islam has served the sciences of Qur’an and Sunnah makes him truly deserving of the title ‘Shaykh-ul-Islam’.”
Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri joined the ceremony via video link from London. Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, welcomed the participants.
Prominent scholar Dr. Muin Nizami, Sahibzada Pir Syed Shams-ur-Rehman Mashhadi, Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, member of the Islamic Ideological Council Pir Syed Atiq-ur-Rehman Shah, President of Ittihad-ul-Madaris Al-Arabia Pakistan Allama Mufti Zubair Faheem, Orya Maqbool Jan, Lahore High Court Bar President Asif Naswana Advocate, Dr. Sofia Bedar, Allama Dr. Muhammad Shahzad Mujaddidi, Dr. Abdul Rauf (Director Iqbal Academy), Dr. Baseera Ambreen (Director Institute of Languages and Literature), head of Tehreek Hurmat-e-Rasool Maulana Amir Hamza, Dr. Mir Asif Akbar, Dr. Muhammad Farooq Rana, Allama Ain-ul-Haq Baghdadi, Allama Ashfaq Chishti, and Dr. Sarwar Naqshbandi also addressed the ceremony.
Dr. Muin Nizami said: “These five books of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri are not mere books, but a treasure of knowledge and thought. I regard them as a ‘Qadri Pentad’ (Panjgana Qadri)—a milestone in the world of scholarship and research.”
Allama Mufti Zubair Faheem stated: “These new books not only present the correct interpretation of the Qur’an and Sunnah but also guide the younger generation away from intellectual misguidance, toward moderation and the path of guidance.”
Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur remarked: “In today’s age of tribulations, unity and solidarity among Muslims is the greatest necessity.”
Maulana Amir Hamza said: “The day is not far when, under the leadership of Shaykh-ul-Islam, the entire Ummah’s sects and classes will unite under one banner.”
Orya Maqbool Jan shared: “When I studied Shaykh-ul-Islam’s commentary on Surah al-Fatiha, it answered many of my fundamental questions. His standard of research is commendable.”
Pir Syed Atiq-ur-Rehman Shah Bukhari said: “Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri’s knowledge will continue to speak till the Day of Judgment through his books.”
Pir Syed Shams-ur-Rehman Mashhadi remarked: “Shaykh-ul-Islam’s book Al-Qaul al-Mubeen is a unique masterpiece on the love of the Messenger ﷺ.”
Dr. Baseera Ambreen said: “Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri’s writings present solutions to contemporary issues.”
Lahore High Court Bar President Asif Naswana Advocate said: “His books and lectures are a great treasure of knowledge and wisdom for future generations.”
Dr. Sofia Bedar noted: “One of Shaykh-ul-Islam’s distinct qualities is his vision to see women standing shoulder to shoulder with men in social, educational, and intellectual fields.”
Sheikh Ahmad Badrah, a guest from Canada, concluded the ceremony with a prayer, saying: “Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has written on every topic of the contemporary age and provided scholarly and intellectual guidance to the Muslim Ummah.”
