As part of the “Manama Coexistence Pathway” in the Kingdom of Bahrain, arranged and escorted by representatives of the King Hamad Global Center for Peaceful Coexistence (KHGC), Prof. Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri visited the Shrinathji Hindu Temple—established in 1812 and regarded as the oldest Hindu temple in Bahrain and the Middle East.
Prof. Hassan was warmly received by Temple Executive Mr. Mahendra Bhatia. During their discussion, Prof. Hassan reflected on how the Constitution of Madina, established by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), stands as a timeless model of inclusivity, ensuring that diverse communities enjoyed equal rights and constitutional citizenship. The dialogue highlighted shared values of harmony and respect among all faiths.
He further noted that Bahrain’s remarkable success in fostering a spirit of interfaith harmony and religious freedom is a testament to the visionary leadership of His Majesty the King and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister—whose patronage has made the Kingdom a respected international model.
As a gesture of goodwill, Prof. Hassan presented Mr. Bhatia with the books “Real Sketch of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)” and “Dastoor-ul-Madina,” which were received with appreciation. The visit reflected the spirit of dignity, coexistence, and mutual respect that flourishes in Bahrain across diverse communities.
