“Indeed, to Allah, we belong, and to Him, we shall return.”
With hearts content with the Divine Decree and submission to the Will of Almighty Allah, we received with profound grief the news of the passing of the Godly scholar and venerable Shaykh, al-Sayyid Mazen FathAllah al-Haj Khalifa al-Hussaini. He answered the call of his Lord after a blessed life, every moment of which was dedicated to the service of sacred knowledge, the propagation of the Islamic message, and the upholding of truth.
We extend our deepest condolences to his noble family, his loyal students, and the people of knowledge and virtue. In losing him, we mourn—alongside the Muslim Umma—a beacon of guidance and a pillar of spiritual upbringing (Tazkiya). The deceased was a role model in harmonizing knowledge with practice and uprightness with noble character. He was truly a Muhammadi heir, who spent his life refining souls and spreading the spirit of love, moderation, and balance.
We pray to Allah Almighty to envelop him in His vast mercy, grant him an abode in the spacious Gardens of Paradise, and raise him among the righteous and those drawn near—under the banner of his forefather, the Chosen Prophet (blessings and peace be upon him), alongside the Prophets, the Truthful, the Martyrs, and the Righteous. We further ask Allah to grant his family and loved ones tranquillity, patience, and solace, and to bless the Umma with a worthy successor. May his scholarly contributions and guidance remain a ceaseless charity whose benefit and reward endure until the Day of Reckoning.
