Minhaj Welfare Foundation distributed Ramadan food packages among more than 1,200 deserving families. The packages included a month’s supply of groceries and various essential food items for daily use.

Data of deserving individuals was collected through a survey, after which coupons were issued to ensure that food packages were provided to them respectfully and in an organized manner when it was their turn.

Those present on the occasion included the Secretary General of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur; the Vice Chancellor of Minhaj University Lahore, Professor Dr. Sajid Mahmood Shahzad; and the Director of Projects and Institutions at Minhaj Welfare Foundation, Syed Amjad Ali Shah.

Speaking at the event, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that the humanitarian initiative of Minhaj Welfare Foundation was planted by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri as a sapling, which has now grown into a flourishing tree under whose shade thousands of deserving individuals benefit each year.

Vice Chancellor Dr. Sajid Mahmood Shahzad congratulated Minhaj Welfare Foundation and its Director of Projects and Institutions, Syed Amjad Ali Shah, for their dedicated efforts in collecting data on deserving families and ensuring that food packages reach them with dignity. He said that delivering essential food items to the needy during Ramadan is a great service, and every financially सक्षम individual should actively participate in this noble cause.

Addressing the ceremony, Syed Amjad Ali Shah said that food packages are being distributed to help ease the burden of Sehri and Iftar for deserving families and to attain the blessings of this sacred month. He stated that 1,200 families had received food packages that day, and expressed their prayer, intention, and desire to extend this support to 12,000 families daily.

He further said that many self-respecting individuals endure hardship silently without asking for help, and it is such deserving people who should be assisted discreetly and respectfully. He added that the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) consistently supported the needy throughout his life, and his generosity would reach its peak during Ramadan, never turning away anyone who sought assistance. Helping the underprivileged and those in need, he said, is also a blessed Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him).
