Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri Expresses Deep Sorrow Over Devastating Floods and Loss of Life in Nepal

No government can easily cope with natural disasters on its own: President Minhaj-ul-Quran International

President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Professor Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss of precious lives and extensive damage to property caused by the devastating floods in Nepal.

He said that it is not easy for any government to deal with natural disasters on its own. Such disasters and emergencies severely disrupt normal life, while public-service infrastructure is often unable to remain fully operational.

Professor Dr. Hussain Qadri called on international relief organizations to work alongside the Government of Nepal and support its relief and rescue efforts.

He said that displaced families face some of the most painful hardships during floods. Hunger and disease further aggravate the consequences of natural disasters. In this regard, he emphasized that the timely provision of ready-to-eat food, protective shelters, and medical assistance can help reduce human suffering to the greatest possible extent.
