Sohail Ahmad Azizi, the renowned comedian and actor of Pakistan, visited the MQI Centre in Japan and appreciated the contributions and services of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri in multiple fields. Talking on the occasion, he said that good times are round the corner and the clouds of darkness will be removed.
A special gathering of the women was held under the banner of MQI Norway in Oslo Centre in connection with welcoming the holy month of Rabi-ul-Awwal. A large number of women from around Oslo participated in the gathering. The message of Rabi-ul-Awwal was presented in a very beautiful manner. The local ‘Minhaj Halqa-e-Durood’ teams offered the greetings and salutations on the Holy Prophet (pbuh) in a touch manner and made the even a memorable one.
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that more than half of our population does not have access to the basic medical facilities in the country. He said that when the poor are admitted to the hospitals, it is not the treatment but a list of medicines that they get. What to speak of treatment, the poor do not have the financial capacity to bear the expenses on the diagnosis.
A delegation of the international scholars, and intellectuals who were in Lahore to attend an International Conference on "Social Responsibility and World Religions" arranged by Minhaj University Lahore in collaboration with the Punjab Higher Education Commission, visited the central secretariat. President MQI Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri and Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur showed the honorable guests around different directorates and departments of the central secretariat.
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri hosted a reception in the honour of the international scholars who were here in Lahore to attend the two-day International Conference on the topic of "Social Responsibility & World Religions". The Conference was held under the banner of Minhaj University Lahore. In his address on the occasion, he spoke on the challenges facing the world peace.
Addressing the inaugural session of a two-day International Conference on Social Responsibility and World Religions held as a result of collaboration between the Punjab Higher Education Commission and Minhaj University Lahore, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Noor-ul-Haq Qadri said that the government fully supports the Conference’s agenda of interfaith moderation and dialogue and is endeavoring to promote these cherished values in the country.
Minhaj-ul-Quran Ulama Council arranged a scholarly sitting of religious scholars and senior students of Islamic sciences with Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. The topic of the discussion was “Flexibility and changes in the Islamic law amid changing circumstances and events”. Those who attended this intellectual sitting included researcher, scholars of Hadith, professors of universities, intellectuals, scholars of interpretations, and the noted speakers.
Throwing light on the 38-year old struggle of the MQI, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that it is the only movement in the world that has set up its effective and efficient network in 90 countries of the world. He said that the MQI won global applause for its work of promoting religious harmony, tolerance and interfaith dialogue.
Addressing the National Peace Conference held under the banner of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) at the central secretariat of the party, the political leaders have said that all provisions of National Action Plan should be implemented in letter and spirit for success of Operation Zarb-e-Azb. They demanded the use of merciless force against armed and economic terrorists. They said that Islamic Curriculum on Peace and Counter-Terrorism designed by Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri should be enforced in educational institutions; the families of martyrs of Model Town tragedy should be given justice and the killers should be given exemplary punishments.
Minhaj Women League organized inaugural celebrations of the Quaid Day on February 15. Sister Marwa, daughter of Dr. Hussain Qadri, was the chief guest on the occasion. The gifts were distributed among children. Fireworks and sky lanterns, as symbol of hope and enthusiasm, were lightened to mark the festivity of the ceremony. The participants prayed for the good health and long life of Shaykh ul Islam.
Minhaj-ul-Quran International (Kolkata) organised free health check-up camp at KMCP School on the 14th February 2016 where free medicines were provided to the patients. A team of doctors including general physicians, cardiologists and gynaecologists conducted check-ups of the people who attended the camp. The programme was a major success as a large number of people turned up including over 200 ladies.
Alhamdulillah, a great annual Meelad-un-Nabi (saw) conference was organized by Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League (North Texas). The event took place on 31st January 2016 at Roma Palace, Garland, Texas, U.S.A. and Masha’Allah approximately 300 sisters attended. The program began with a warm welcome for all those attending by Sister Shazia Amer who was the stage secretary for the event.

PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri announced to launch peace initiative (zarb-e-Aman) on the occasion of the 32nd International Mawlid-un-Nabi Conference held at Minar-e-Pakistan. Minhaj-ul-Quran Youth League formulated a comprehensive five-tier plan to run this campaign effectively at district, tehsil, union council and unit levels. The first phase of the campaign started on January 10 and concluded on January 20, 2016. Peace Youth Training Workshops were held under the banner of MYL in different cities.
A dinner was arranged in the honour of Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President of MQI Supreme Council, during his visit to South Punjab, which was attended by prominent social, political and religious personalities and local notables. Addressing the participants, Dr Hassan said that terrorism and extremism is the biggest threat to the Islamic world and the whole humanity. He said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri is serving the humanity as ambassador of peace for elimination of terrorism and extremism
