Some children literally have nowhere to go due to losing their entire families in natural disasters. Aghosh orphans are mainly from disaster struck areas of Swat, Kashmir, Balochistan. Based in Pakistan. It is possibly one of the largest projects for orphans in the history of Pakistan. There hasn't been a greater focus on Orphans by any NGO (Non-Governmental Organisation) as much as Minhaj Welfare Foundation. Since its initiation two decades ago, MWF has set out to differ from other welfare organisations and to ensure that aid or assistance is not just limited to a day or week but to be an ever lasting process until the individuals are considered to be honourable members of society. With this hope, MWF wants to bring about change to the welfare of many orphans who face daily neglect, cruel exploitation, and whose rights are being usurped by heartless oppressors. The Prophet (Blessings and Peace be Upon Him) said: "Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "The best house among the Muslims is the house in which orphans are well treated. The worst house among the Muslims is the house in which orphans are ill treated. I and the guardian of the orphan will be in the Garden like that," (indicating his two fingers). al-Adab al-Mufrad by Imam Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him)
