Addressing the “Message of Imam Hussain (A.S.) and Unity of the Ummah Conference” organized by Minhaj-ul-Quran Ulama Council in PP-150, Lahore, the Secretary General of Nizam-ul-Madaris Pakistan, Allama Dr. Mir Asif Akbar Qadri, stated that the noble life of the Ahl-e-Bayt (A.S.) teaches us sacrifice, sincerity, truthfulness, and intellectual steadfastness.
He said that Imam Hussain (A.S.) taught us in Karbala that standing firm against falsehood is the essence of true faith. Highlighting the virtues and greatness of Ahl-e-Bayt, he emphasized that they are a guarantee of nearness to Allah and purity. He said that love for Ahl-e-Bayt is a means to unite all Muslims. Their life is a shining example of piety, selflessness, and loyalty that serves as a beacon for every believer. The message of Karbala, he said, is not silence in the face of oppression but raising one's voice for truth. Love for the Ahl-e-Bayt is the key to salvation.
Allama Mir Asif Akbar added that a heart devoid of love for the Ahl-e-Bayt becomes rusted. Their legacy teaches us practical lessons in truth, loyalty, justice, and fairness.
Central President of Minhaj-ul-Quran Ulama Council, Allama Mufti Ghulam Asghar Siddiqi, in his speech said that Karbala is not merely a tragedy but a timeless message of awakening, justice, and the protection of faith. Imam Hussain (A.S.) refused to bow to tyranny and instead lit the candle of leadership, steadfastness, and justice. He also stated that Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri ignited the flames of love for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the Ahl-e-Bayt in the hearts of the youth.
Central Secretary of Minhaj-ul-Quran Ulama Council, Allama Ashfaq Ali Chishti, said that hearts devoid of love for Ahl-e-Bayt become dark. The love of these noble personalities enlightens hearts and teaches humanity how to live with dignity.
Addressing the conference, Allama Abdul Sattar Khan Niazi said that the remembrance of Ahl-e-Bayt is not merely an act of worship but a source of intellectual enlightenment. Their pure lives provide guidance in every sphere of life. He noted that the intellectual and spiritual contributions of Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri have awakened the Ummah and connected the youth with a purposeful life.
Qazi Abdul Ghaffar Qadri remarked that the life of the Ahl-e-Bayt embodies the true spirit of Islam. Their pure lives teach us qualities such as justice, truth, and patience.
The conference was attended by Pakistan Awami Tehreek’s Central Vice President Raja Zahid Mehmood, President Lahore Engineer Shafqat Ali Mughal, General Secretary Makhdoom Gulzar Hussain, Syed Khurshid-ul-Hasan Bukhari, Chaudhry Asghar Ali Gujar, Mufti Mehboob Ahmed Siddiqi, Hafiz Tahir Zia, Pir Syed Anwar Ali Shah, Malik Abid Hussain Qadri, Muhammad Younas Jamaati, Qari Saleem Hamdani, Allama Muhammad Ahmed Khan Chishti, Malik Khalid Hussain Qadri, Syed Akhtar Rasool, Qaiser Saif, Muhammad Ramzan Chishti, Allama Siraj Baloch, Allama Ghulam Sarwar, Allama Ikhlaq Ahmed, and Allama Ghulam Nasiruddin.
The event saw wide participation from scholars and spiritual leaders of various schools of thought. The speakers emphasized that in today’s era, the Muslim Ummah is in dire need of unity and cohesion. If we truly consider ourselves followers of Imam Hussain (A.S.), then we must abandon sectarianism and work toward the unity of the Ummah.
The conference concluded with a special prayer for unity among Muslims, national defense, and the elevation of the Muslim Ummah.
