Annual Torch-bearing Rally under MQI Lahore Welcomes Rabi-ul-Awwal

Speaking at the grand torch-bearing rally organized by Minhaj-ul-Quran Lahore (Aziz Bhatti Town) to mark the arrival of the blessed month of Rabi-ul-Awwal, President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Professor Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, said that Rabi-ul-Awwal is the sacred month of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He said that celebrating this occasion is a heartfelt expression of love and devotion to the Prophet (PBUH).

He congratulated the office-bearers of Aziz Bhatti Town for organizing such a magnificent rally in honor of the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) birth. He stated that with the arrival of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), the world transformed from a place of darkness into a center of enlightenment. His (PBUH) arrival brought protection for the weak, justice for the oppressed, compassion for orphans, rights for minorities, honor for women, and freedom for slaves.

He said that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) preached moderation and interfaith harmony. His arrival gave war-torn humanity the message of peace.

Addressing the rally participants, Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri urged them to participate with the same passion and zeal in the grand 42nd International Mawlid-un-Nabi Conference to be held on the night of September 5 at Minar-e-Pakistan, Lahore.

As the rally passed through Shalamar Link Road, local traders showered flower petals to welcome the participants. The route was decorated with welcome banners and illuminated buildings. The hosts, including Shahbaz Bhatti (President, Lahore), Iqbal Hussain Bajwa, and officials from Aziz Bhatti Town welcomed the rally participants with garlands.

A large number of children wearing Arabic dresses and carrying torches participated in the rally. Decorated camels, horses, and carriages accompanied the procession. The rally received a warm welcome at several points along its route.

The rally started from Mughalpura, passed through Shalamar Link Road, and concluded at GT Road, Bhagwanpura.
