Chairman Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Professor Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, addressed the farewell ceremony of Session 2025 organized by Bazm-e-Minhaj and the College of Shariah & Islamic Sciences in Lahore. He congratulated the students on successfully and systematically completing their academic session. He stated that the students’ dedication and discipline made the 2025 session a success, and they truly deserve appreciation.
He explained that the purpose of Bazm-e-Minhaj is to polish students’ abilities, translate knowledge into practice, and prepare leadership that represents the true spirit of religion. This forum provides a platform for personal and spiritual development through both curricular and extracurricular activities.
Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri further said that in the Holy Qur’an, Almighty Allah not only mentioned the duties and responsibilities of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, but also clarified the purpose of his Prophetic mission. From that blessed personality ﷺ flows the divine knowledge of recitation (qira’at) and all other sciences. The recitation of the Qur’an, he said, transforms a person into a true friend and reciter of the Book of Allah.
The Chairman emphasized that self-purification (tazkiyah al-nafs) is essential before acquiring knowledge. He described Sufism (tasawwuf) as the process of purifying the heart and illuminating the inner self. Manners, patience, tolerance, and practical implementation, he said, are the fundamental prerequisites for acquiring knowledge. He urged the students of Minhaj-ul-Quran to use social media positively and for missionary purposes, as they are the true preachers and guides of the Mustafavi Mission.
In his concluding remarks, Professor Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that the students of Minhaj-ul-Quran are not merely seekers of knowledge; they are the future leaders, reformers, and representatives of Islam. Bazm-e-Minhaj has instilled in the youth the consciousness that transforms knowledge into character. He stressed that true education is that which purifies one’s inner self and instills in a person humility, patience, and a spirit of service to humanity. The objective of Sufism, he said, is to enlighten the heart and connect it with the Creator.
He advised the students to spread light in society through their knowledge and actions, for the graduates of Minhaj-ul-Quran are the missionary vanguard destined to convey the Prophetic message of mercy to the entire world. In today’s era, he added, their knowledge, character, and positive outreach should become a living embodiment of the Mustafavi message.
