The Holy Prophet (PBUH) Provided Comprehensive Teachings on the Principles and Ethics of Trade
Remarks delivered during a meeting with traders at Ferozepur Road Industrial Estate
Professor Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, met with traders and industrialists at the Ferozepur Road Industrial Estate (FRIEA) where he spoke on the topic “Islam and Trade.” The meeting was attended by a large number of office bearers, traders, industrialists, and representatives of various associations.
In his address, Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri stated that Islam’s economic system is designed for the service of humanity. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) provided comprehensive teachings regarding the principles and ethics of commerce. Islam regards trade not merely as an economic necessity but elevates it to an act of worship when conducted with morality, honesty, and integrity. He noted that traders form the backbone of a nation’s economy.
He further said that Islam’s economic framework is built upon honesty, responsibility, and service to humanity. When traders conduct their business with sincerity, considering it an act of worship, it not only brings blessings to their livelihood but also strengthens the national economy. Traders play a central role in economic activity, employment generation, and social development.
Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri emphasized that Minhaj-ul-Quran has always held traders and industrialists in high regard.
Shahbaz Aslam, Chairman of Ferozepur Road Industrial Estate (FRIEA), described Dr. Qadri’s insightful address as extremely beneficial for traders and industrialists, adding that such gatherings help foster economic and ethical awareness. He also praised Minhaj-ul-Quran International’s global contributions toward peace, knowledge, inter-sect and interfaith harmony, and humanitarian service.
Upon his arrival at the Industrial Estate, Professor Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri
was warmly received by Chairman (FRIEA) Shahbaz Aslam, Founding Chairman Adnan Khalid
Butt, Senior Vice Chairman Shafique Butt, EC members Dr. Saleh, Mian Mahmood, Chaudhry
Asif, Bao Bashir, Khurram Aslam, Saadatullah, Dr. Ijaz, Arshad Baig, Naseer Butt,
and other trader leaders.
Chairman Awami Tajir Ittehad Haji Mian Muhammad Ishaq, President Awami Tajir Ittehad
Junaid Warraich, Secretary General Chaudhry Muhammad Rashid, Vice President Saqib
Bhatti, Mian Asim Ishaq, and Qazi Faiz-ul-Islam also accompanied the Chairman of
the Supreme Council.
