Sohail Ahmad Raza, Director of Interfaith Relations at Minhaj-ul-Quran International, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Christian community worldwide, including in Pakistan, on the birth anniversary of Hazrat Isa (A.S) (Christmas). He said that Christmas conveys a global message of peace, love, tolerance, and humanity. He emphasized that promoting interfaith harmony, tolerance, and mutual respect is the need of the hour. The true message of Christmas is one of humanity, sacrifice, and social harmony, which has become even more significant in the present times.
Sohail Raza further stated that Islam teaches belief in all the Prophets. Minhaj-ul-Quran has always worked towards promoting interfaith dialogue, religious freedom, and protecting the rights of minorities. The Christian community in Pakistan has made invaluable contributions in the fields of education, healthcare, and social service.
Sohail Ahmad Raza said that Islam teaches tolerance, love, and good conduct towards followers of other religions. If the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Hazrat Isa (A.S) are practically followed, it is possible to eradicate hatred, prejudice, and extremism, thus establishing peace and tranquility globally. He added that religions have a fundamental and effective role in establishing peace, brotherhood, equality, and social and economic justice. All divine religions teach the welfare of humanity, social balance, and the establishment of justice, which are the foundations of any peaceful society.
Sohail Ahmad Raza, Director of Interfaith Relations, further stated that all the Prophets sent by Allah conveyed messages of humanity, the rights of others, and moral values. He concluded by stating that Islam is the religion that grants complete rights to the followers of other religions and guarantees mutual respect. Christmas is a festival of love, affection, and goodwill, and on this occasion, he extended his deepest congratulations to the Christian community.
