Tributes Paid by Professor Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Raja Faiz Rasool, and Others
“The late Brigadier devoted a long period to the Pakistan Armed Forces and the rest of his life to the service of religion,” says the President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International

A condolence reference was held in memory of Brigadier (Retd.) Iqbal Ahmad Khan (late), Vice President of Minhaj-ul-Quran, at Jamy Shaykh-ul-Islam located in the central secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran. Rich tributes were paid to his national and religious services.
Addressing the gathering, President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Professor Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, said that the late Brigadier served for a long time in the Pakistan Armed Forces, holding various key positions, and rendered outstanding services to the country and nation in the field of engineering. After retirement, he devoted every moment of his life to the service of religion and humanity under the guidance of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.
He further stated that Brigadier (R) Iqbal Ahmad Khan (late) also held important responsibilities at the College of Shariah and Islamic Sciences and in the early years of Minhaj University Lahore. He remarked that such individuals are fortunate whose God-given energies are utilized for positive causes, and he paid glowing tribute to the late Brigadier’s services.
Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur also paid tribute, stating that the late Brigadier performed his duties with honesty and integrity. He added, “Every administrator of Minhaj-ul-Quran, including myself, learned something from him, and he will always remain alive in our prayers.”
The late Brigadier’s son, Raja Faiz Rasool, expressed gratitude while addressing the condolence reference. He said that Minhaj-ul-Quran is not only a religious welfare movement but also a guardian of high moral and human values and traditions. He expressed his appreciation that Shaykh-ul-Islam acknowledged his father’s services with great appreciation and consistently encouraged their family. He added that he would always remember the heartfelt prayers offered for his father and pledged to follow in his footsteps while maintaining his association with this great movement.
The condolence reference was attended by Mufti Abdul Qayyum Khan Hazravi, Deputy Secretary Generals Dr. Rafiq Najm, Allama Rana Muhammad Idrees, G.M. Malik, Jawad Hameed, Brigadier (R) Umar Hayat, Noorullah Siddiqui, Colonel (R) Khalid Javed, Dr. Mumtaz-ul-Hasan Barvi, Wing Commander (R) Abdul Ghaffar, Squadron Leader (R) Abdul Aziz, Allama Ain-ul-Haq Baghdadi, Shehzad Rasool, Director DFA Shakeel Ahmad Tahir, President Minhaj-ul-Quran Lahore Iqbal Hussain Bajwa, Malik Shamim Numberdar, Sardar Umar Daraz Khan, Saqib Bhatti, along with directors of various departments and a large number of workers.
