A seminar on Peace Education Programme was held in Wuppertal at the MQI Wuppertal on the topic of counter-terrorism, peace and integration. The seminar was organized by Minhaj Youth League and Sisters League Wuppertal, Ennepetal and Berlin.
A wonderful poetry gathering was held under the banner of Mustafavi Students Movement (MSM) at the central secretariat. Renowned poet Prof Nasir Bashir was the guest of honour, whereas PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur presided over the programme. The distinguished poets read out their poetry on the occasion. Imran Akhtar and Usma Jameshed conducted the proceedings of the gathering.
PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that the martyred children of Army Public School (APS) Peshawar are the heroes of the Pakistani nation and the candles of peace. He said that it was as a result of the sacrifices of these brave children and the courage of their grieving mothers that the armed forces of Pakistan conducted historic operation against terrorists and achieved significant successes against the monster.
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri attended the annual Urs ceremony of the father of Punjab provincial minister for religious affairs Sahibzada Saeed-ul-Hassan Shah on his special invitation and addressed it on the subject of the status of the Sufis and the friends of Allah. He said that it is not the people in power but those with character who are the friends and saints of Allah Almighty.
A Qawwali gathering was organized in the central secretariat to mark the 30th foundation day of MYL. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri took time out to attend the event. Asif Ali Santoo and companions presented amazing kalam. Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Shaykh Ahmad Mustafa Al-Arabi Al-Qadri, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur and MYL president Mazhar Mahmood Alvi along with his whole team attended the programme.
Renowned religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel called on Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri at his residence in Model Town and congratulated him on writing the Quranic Encyclopedia that consists of 5000 topics in 8 volumes. He said that he got the invitation to attend the inaugural ceremony but could not make it due to earlier commitments. Appreciating the massive work Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri has undertaken on various aspects of Islam, Maunala Tariq Jameel said that the scholarly work of Dr sahib is an asset of Pakistan and the Islamic world.
Senior PTI leader Jahangir Khan Tareen called on PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri at his residence. The matters of mutual interest including the current political situation came under discussion in the meeting. Jahangir Tareen inquired after the health of Dr Qadri. Both the leaders also talked about the by-election in PP-168.
Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday has disposed of Pakistan Awami Tehreek’s (PAT) plea seeking formation of new joint investigation team (JIT) to probe Model Town carnage and directed the provincial government to reconstitute the team. A five-member larger bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar and comprising Justice Asif Saeed Khosa, Justice Azmat Saeed, Justice Faisal Arab and Justice Mazhar Alam Mian heard the case.
The inaugural ceremony of the Quranic Encyclopedia authored by Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri will be held at Aiwan-e-Iqbal in Lahore today on December 3. Prominent people belonging to various walks of life including Governor Punjab Ch. Muhammad Sarwar, politicians, religious scholars and journalists will attend the inaugural ceremony. The event will start at 12 pm.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony of the Quranic Encyclopedia written by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, the distinguished speakers stated that the Holy Quran is the Word of Allah that contains solutions to all the problems facing the humanity. They said that the Encyclopedia, which is comprehensive in nature, is an intellectual treat for those conducting research on Islam as well as those interested in understanding the Divine Book.
PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that we will present our point of view before the larger bench of the Supreme Court for constitution of a new JIT to probe the Model Town tragedy. The SC is going to take up the petition at its principal seat in Islamabad on December 5. He said that the establishment of a new JIT is inevitable to open the doors of justice on the families of the martyrs. He said that patience and perseverance with which the families have stayed put in their legal struggle is laudable and does not have a parallel anywhere.
Addressing the annual Convocation of Minhaj University Lahore (MUL), Governor Punjab, Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said that the government is committed to promotion of education in the country and will utilize all resources for this purpose. He said that he greatly appreciated the services of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri, Chairman of MUL Board of Governors, for Islam, education and social sector.
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri inaugurated the newly constructed Mosque on November 22 in the Minhaj University Lahore. The Mosque depicts rich Islamic culture and heritage. Punjab Minister for Public Prosecution Chaudhry Zaheer-ud-Din Khan attended the inaugural ceremony on a special invitation.
The 35th International Mawlid-un-Nabi ﷺ Conference was held at the Greater Iqbal Park under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International in Lahore during the intervening night of the 11th and 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri delivered his keynote speech on the occasion. Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Chairman of MQI Supreme Council and Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President of MQI, participated in the Conference along with hundreds of thousands of people who came from different cities and towns of the country.
