Noorullah Siddiqi, Deputy Secretary General Media Affairs of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, expressed deep sorrow and grief over the passing of renowned Punjabi poet Ustad Tajammal Kaleem, stating that he kept Punjabi culture alive across the world through his creative works and gifted Punjabi language and literature a new and enriched vocabulary.
He said that Tajammal Kaleem’s poetic legacy will forever remind us of his contributions. His work reflected the literary essence of great Sufi poets like Waris Shah (RA), Baba Bulleh Shah (RA), and Hussain Shah (RA). Noorullah Siddiqi noted that Tajammal Kaleem was the true literary successor of Waris Shah.
He further remarked that Tajammal Kaleem had become the voice of today's youth, expressing Punjabi language and literature in a contemporary tone and rhythm. Many of his verses have attained the status of proverbial wisdom.
With his demise, Punjabi literature has lost a great creative soul. However, his literary legacy will live on.
Noorullah Siddiqi concluded by praying: "May Allah Almighty grant forgiveness and mercy to Ustad Tajammal Kaleem, bless him with the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous, and grant patience and strength to his bereaved family."
