A grand “Mawlid-un-Nabi ﷺ Banquet” was held in honor of the business community at the central secretariat, organized by the Public Relations department of Minhaj-ul-Quran and Awami Traders Alliance. The event was attended by scholars from abroad, leaders of various trade associations from across the city, industrialists, and shopkeepers in large numbers.
The program began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by the presentation of heartfelt Naats (poetry in praise of the Prophet ﷺ) by internationally renowned Naat reciters.
Addressing the gathering, President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Professor Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, said that to overcome economic crises, we must adopt the Seerah (life example) of the Holy Prophet ﷺ as our guide. The message of Mawlid-un-Nabi ﷺ is one of unity, peace, and brotherhood. If the business community adopts the principles of honesty and integrity in line with the Prophetic Sunnah, the society will be blessed with prosperity, justice, and stability.
Dr. Hussain emphasized that trade was the profession of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, and traders should conduct their transactions with honesty, gentleness, and sincerity so that both their worldly business and Hereafter are successful.
Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri further stated that Mawlid-un-Nabi ﷺ teaches us not only love for the Prophet ﷺ but also encourages righteous actions. Through his noble character, the Prophet ﷺ provided humanity with solutions to all crises.
He added that the real celebration of Mawlid lies in sharing the grief of flood-affected brothers and sisters and playing a practical role in their rehabilitation. Helping and restoring the families affected by the recent floods is, in fact, the true message of Mawlid and an embodiment of the Seerah of the Prophet ﷺ.
Chairman of Awami Traders Alliance, Haji Muhammad Ishaq, Secretary General Chaudhry Muhammad Rashid, and Director of Public Relations Shehzad Rasool Chaudhry welcomed the trader representatives in their opening remarks.
