Speakers commend the initiative to divert the administrative funds of the Mawlid Conference towards flood victims’ relief
A grand International Mawlid Conference was organized by Minhaj-ul-Quran International at Aiwan-e-Iqbal, Lahore, where Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri delivered a keynote address on "A Moral Analysis of the Prophetic Biography (Seerah)".
In his address, Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri stated that the most beautiful message of the Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is the elimination of mutual hatred and malice, and the promotion of unity, brotherhood, and goodwill. He said that through the blessed birth of the Prophet ﷺ, the universe witnessed the most beautiful and noble figure, and through his Prophethood, the world was blessed with a magnificent example of character.
Shaykh-ul-Islam said that the arrival of the Prophet ﷺ revealed a perfect model of humanity, which Allah Almighty has made an eternal example (Uswah Hasanah) for all mankind. Every believer and school of thought is united in the love of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, each expressing their devotion in their own unique way.
Speakers at the event highly praised Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri's announcement that the funds originally allocated for organizing the Mawlid Conference would instead be used to help flood victims.
Governor Punjab, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, in his speech, stated that love for the Holy Prophet ﷺ is our greatest strength. He said that despite our shortcomings, it is through the blessing of this love that Allah helps us succeed through every trial. He congratulated Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri, Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, and the entire organizing team for the successful organization of the International Mawlid Conference.
Head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (S), Allama Abdul Haq Thani, expressed his deep gratitude and termed his participation in the luminous conference on the occasion of the Blessed Birth a great honor. He said: "The Holy Prophet ﷺ is the reason for the creation of the universe, and love for him is a fundamental requirement of faith. One cannot be a true Muslim unless their heart is filled with the love of the Prophet ﷺ." He thanked Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri and Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri for inviting him to participate.
Guest of Honor from Canada, Shaykh Ahmad Badrah, said that the people of Pakistan are deeply devoted to Islam and the Holy Prophet ﷺ. He added that Shaykh-ul-Islam and Minhaj-ul-Quran are spreading the fragrance of peace and love across the globe. "It brought me immense joy to visit Pakistan and witness such a beautiful scene of love for the Holy Prophet ﷺ at the International Mawlid Conference," he remarked.
Secretary-General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur thanked all the honorable guests and stated that in support of the flood victims, the venue of the Mawlid Conference was shifted from Minar-e-Pakistan to Aiwan-e-Iqbal, and all the savings in administrative costs will now be spent on relief and rehabilitation of the affected families.
Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Maulana Syed Abdul Khabir Azad, congratulated the entire leadership of Minhaj-ul-Quran for organizing this magnificent conference and paid tribute to Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri for showing solidarity with flood victims by choosing a more modest venue and allocating funds for their aid.
Vice Chairman of Majlis Wahdat-ul-Muslimeen Pakistan, Allama Syed Iqbal Rizvi, and President of Ittehad-ul-Madaris Al-Arabia Pakistan, Mufti Muhammad Zubair Faheem, emphasized that Minhaj-ul-Quran is carrying the great Prophetic mission of eliminating hatred and uniting hearts. They asserted that today, the Muslim Ummah is in dire need of unity and solidarity, and that the scholarly and intellectual leadership of religious scholars is the foundation of this unity.
Chairman of the Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran, Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, and President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, welcomed the esteemed scholars, spiritual leaders, and participants to Aiwan-e-Iqbal.
From Iran, renowned Qur’an reciters – Ustad al-Qurra Hassanin Jafar Hassan Al-Hilu, Shaykh al-Qurra Qari Hamed Shaker Nejad, Fakhr al-Qurra Qari Syed Jalal Masoumi, and Zainat al-Qurra Qari Saleh Mehdi Zadah – recited the Holy Qur’an in a soul-stirring manner, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere. The hall of Aiwan-e-Iqbal echoed with chants of "Allahu Akbar".
Naat reciters presented melodious and heartfelt tributes in praise of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Distinguished spiritual leaders and scholars who attended included Sahibzada Diwan Ahmad Masood Chishti, Sahibzada Sufi Asadullah Shah Naqeebi, Pir of Kot Mithan Sharif Khawaja Moinuddin Mehboob Koreja, Makhdoom Pir Syed Ali Raza Gilani Qadri, Syed Tahir Sajjad Kazmi, Sahibzada Pir Syed Ali Raza, Pir Muhammad Tahir Nazir Naqshbandi, Sahibzada Pir Muhammad Anwar Dogar Saifi, Sahibzada Pir Tauseef al-Nabi, Sahibzada Parvez Akbar Saqi, Sahibzada Pir Tabassum Basheer Owaisi, Allama Mufti Dr. Riaz Ahmad Chishti, Sahibzada Ahmad Asim Saleem Hajveri, Sahibzada Pir Syed Dilbar Hussain Shah Gilani, Sahibzada Pir Muhammad Zahid Raza Noori, Sahibzada Pir Syed Asghar Ali Naqshbandi, Sahibzada Pir Sufi Athar Abbas Sabri, Sahibzada Pir Syed Ali Haider Shah Bukhari, Pir Akhtar Rasool Qadri, Allama Sahibzada Dr. Badr Munir Saifi.
Stage secretary duties were performed by Hafiz Saeed Raza Baghdadi, Director of the Directorate of Education and Professional Development, along with his team.
At the conclusion of the International Mawlid Conference, Salutations (Durood-o-Salam) were offered to the Holy Prophet ﷺ, followed by thunderous chants of “Marhaba, Marhaba Ya Mustafa ﷺ”, filling the atmosphere with spiritual energy and love.
